From our hotel, a leisurely five minute walk will take you to the Zocalo or town square, which is the hub of activity for Mexicans and tourists alike. Within this short distance you will find diverse activities including the vibrant muelle, or main pier, where you may hire a sports fishing charter or just watch as they bring in their catch of the day. You may also purchase tickets for a boat ride direct to charming Las Gatas Beach a short panga (boat) ride away.

On the Paseo del Pescador, or Walk of the Fisherman, which begins at the pier, you will begin your stroll and get to choose from a variety of excellent restaurants, silver and specialty shops that feature vanilla, Mexican hand-loomed rugs, hammocks and ceramics. As you continue past the basketball court with its sweeping views of Zihuatanejo's main beach, you could also find your way to the Archeological Museum. This famous walk winds its way along the waterfront to La Madera Beach where you may sit to enjoy cold refreshments at a variety of restaurants with a stunning view of Zihuatanejo Bay. Within a 2 block radius of Casa Celeste Hotel you will find the conveniences of banking, ATMs, an English-speaking doctor, liquor and grocery stores, internet cafes, scooter rentals, the Indigenous Peoples Craft Market, and restaurants and nightlife in abundance.
